A couple of nights ago, while serving a family court paper on a courteous young man, the totally drunk next door Neighbor (who happens to be the landlord) came over and decided I have to answer to him as to why I am serving his tenant. He demanded my ID and a copy of the papers for his own perusal. I declined to give this neighbor anything as It wasn't his business. He became angry and more aggressive, insisting I can't leave until I give him what he asked for. As I’m trying to get into my car, he's physically holding me back. While holding my arm and standing between me and my car, he is fumbling with his phone to try to call the police so he can press charges. Then his wife came out of the house and jumped on his back and another woman comes out and jumps into the fray. The two of them are trying to loosen his grip on me. Finally they succeed and he lets go and they drag him back into his house, giving me time to jump in my car and escape. All this happened in the pitch dark on a rural country road. Later that night I notified the State Troopers of the incident but I declined to press charges.
